Capture One 20 for Nikon was recently released, a version of the software for Nikon camera owners. Capture One 20 for Nikon includes the Express version, available free of charge, and the Pro version, which comes with a reduced price. In this video, Alexander Svet takes you through both versions.
Capture One Express For Nikon
“So,” says Alex, ”what can Capture One Express offer to Nikon camera owners? First thing, you can run a solid image archive with the Express version. You can store and organize your files there, quickly rate images and filter them. Secondly, Capture One Express for Nikon offers the same realistic and clear color rendering of your RAW files as the Pro version does. The Nikon Picture Control color profiles are available in the Express version, as well. Thirdly, you have access to all the essential editing tools. You can easily recover shadow and highlights. This is one of my favorite tools of Capture One. It allows you to get a lot out of your RAWs. Also, you can adjust flat images with the Levels tool. The Express version allows you to perform basic color correction with the Color Editor. The Black and White tool is also available in Capture One Express. Plus, you can apply styles and presets with saved adjustments. Finally, Express allows you to export your edited images into JPG, TIFF, and other final formats.”
Capture One Pro For Nikon
Why switch to Capture One Pro for Nikon? Says Alex:
One of my favorite shots. Nikon D7500 with AF-S NIKKOR 35mm. Shot at ISO 100, f/ 2.0, and 1/8000 s. Capture One for Nikon. The ultimate photo editing software for Nikon cameras. Bring your Nikon photos to life. Unleash the power of your Nikon photos with the industry’s most powerful photo editing tools. Get everything you need to be creative as you want – and work as fast as you need. Christiaan, I've been using Capture One since version 3; I've been using this trick since version 8 or thereabouts; and the evidence of my own eyes, over umpteen versions, and thousands of images, is that it's an incredibly effective solution to the problem the OP complains about. I also have the Nikon DS500, which uses the same sensor.
- Layers in Capture One Pro isn’t just a tool for some local adjustments; they’re deeply implemented into the workflow.
- You can retouch your images right in Capture One.
- Capture One Pro for Nikon has way more tools for color correction.
- Finally, Capture One Pro for Nikon offers a customizable interface.
